   OK it's been pretty quiet around here and it's time you guys and gals made some noise.  How is business where you are?  How is your year overall and the last quarter heading into the new year?

We have been working on building a new rental studio here in Pittsburgh since March.  New portfolio sites and other stuff.  What have you been up to.

	Well I guess ill speak up... Business where im at is not to bad. I am changing the focus of my service more towards digital tech and on set-set retouching for retail catalog clients (Target, the largest hiring entity in Minneapolis). I have will have done about a third more business this year, although spring was very slow for most people here. So if it were not for the changes in the economy I feel like it could have been a truly amazing year filled with christmas presents like Eizos, Carts and Cases for my business. Until then Ill be lugging the battered Apple Computer Boxes sealed with gaff. All and all i feel like the Ad recession might not be too bad. Focus will shift toward in-house production and ability to keep up with digital media. But things are always changing - in the end people will always need amazing images. D-

	Spring has been getting off to a slow start. Couple days of assisting, but not too much. I hear alot of people are slow and budgets are getting tight--so having an assistant along isn't always an option right now.

	Just getting back to this thread with an update. The new studio is up and going. It was a long Winter and Spring of endless construction but it's finally there. Have a peek and let me know what you think about it and the site. The site is new and just posted today. So if you see anything that should be added or fixed please feel free. One of the main goals for the studio is to be a rental photo studio for both stills and video for the Pittsburgh market and for shooters coming in from other cities. If you see any ways to improve it to that end I'm all ears. http://steelgatestudio.com I also finished putting up the new portfolio site. The folks at FolioLink.com are great to work with if you are looking for a host. Nice easy way to get one together and super easy to change and edit, highly recommended. http://www.alexjonesportfolio.com With time on our hands since things have continued to be slow it seems best to push to new things and build for when things pick back up.
