Author: jlips
Subject: Studiomate/Roommate needed for Jersey City studio
Posted: 20/Jul/2010 at 11:21AM

I am currently looking for a roommate or studiomate for my studio located in Journal Square. It is about 10 minutes from the Journal Square path station. 20 Minutes to the WTC and 30 Minutes to Penn station/33rd St.

The place is 1,300 Square feet and about 700+ Square Feet is shooting space. There are 13 foot ceiling and neutral Grey floors. End to end measurements in the main space are about 20ft x 24ft to 24ft x 40ft on the long end.

There are four 62in x 70in windows (Two facing east and two facing north) and two 5ft x 5 ft skylights making this a great natural light studio. All can be blacked out or scrimmed for shooting with strobe lights. Part of the room serves as a living room during off hours, but all furniture is light and movable. The space also features central heating and A/C.

The office space is about 13ft x 13ft and has one window facing south. There is also a working kitchen and a decent sized bathroom. This space comes with one dedicated off street parking space in the lot in back. You and only You are allowed to park in your spot.

I live and work in the space and there is one resident cat, Bella. She is very nice and had been well socialized. She does not disturb shoots so there is not need to worry about her getting in the way. The space is kept very clean and organized.

Rent is $800 + utilities per month. The lease is a work/live lease allowing for people to live in the space where they conduct business. The space is available For August 1st.

See pics at http://jeremylips.com click on studio.

Digital Imaging : CG222W Info?

    Author: MPLS Photo Assist
Subject: CG222W Info?
Posted: 19/Apr/2010 at 8:36PM

Thinking of purchasing a CG222W Eizo Monitor. Does anyone own this Monitor or have any thoughts on it? I currently own a Apple 30in and 20in displays and am looking for an upgrade. Would primarily be used for retouching and some softproofing as well as a occasional rental to photographers. Im thinking it looks like a good value but because I have never owned a "hi-end" monitor I am unsure. Also are any products that maybe newer to the market in the same price range that I am unaware of? What are some of the drawback from the more obvious things like color gamut and size. Anything other than Cinema Displays are not considered standard in my mid-sized market so that is i guess a factor as well. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Can I run it off of 2 D cells hooked up in series that I would attach to the battery terminals inside the camera? This camera is used as part of a trail monitoring system and is always in one place. The CR2 batteries do not last very long with the camera always on, and they are expensive. Thanks in advance, John.
