Hello Photographers, Photo Assistants & Digital
Techs.
It's been a busy week for all of us.
It even looks like business is picking up for many people.
Things at this end are crazy busy with having to re-write our course book for
the latest Capture One Pro release V5.1.1, pre-production for this weekends
workshop, and the complete rebuild of all of our online databases which I expect
to announce and release mid to end of April. And tops on the list our current
back log of video productions that never seem to diminish.
Below are links to some of what we posted on the site this week.
Stay tuned as next week has even more surprises.
.....No really , next week for sure!
Leica will host first-ever series of experiential on M and S-Systems
Canon very quickly made corrections to fix the audio bug in their latest 5DMKII firmware update.
This new release of Capture One comes in three versions: 5.1.1, 5.1.1 PRO and 5.1.1 DB.
Capture One 5.1.1 is a free service release to existing Capture One 5.x owners.
Up coming workshops - March & April
Get real world experience
working in one of the premiere NYC rental studios, using Pro equipment, and
learning the on-set tech, grip and lighting skills needed to get work as a photo
assistant. Learn the proper way to meter for Flash and color temp, create the
perfect white background, color correcting lights, and how use KinoFlo, HMI, and
studio strobes independently and mixed.
Work with Chimera, Profoto,
Broncolor, Briese (based on
availability) professional studio strobes
and light modifiers.
We capture our lighting
setups with Canon's high-end DSLR's and Phase One Capture 1 Pro software.
Past attendees have been
Photo school students, photo assistants, art directors, photo editors,
photographers from smaller markets.
And staff from those
photographers studios listed on the site
This 1 day
seminar is limited to the software only. We do not cover cameras during this
event. Please see the site for complete details.
We've created this workshop after it was requested by photographers, art
directors, producers, and photo assistants that were interested in learning
capture one pro software
But do not need the hands on aspect of our Digital Tech Workshop.
This is also great for people that have worked with older versions of Capture
One Pro and wish to become familiar with the new V.5.1.x software.

TruceMag.Com
our online magazine is currently up and running
and will be re-launched with a new design, a focus and being GREEN, and
enhanced delivery options with the next issue.
If you haven't seen it yet please click through to check it out and consider submitting your images.
The response to the last issue was so great that his year it will become a quarterly.
In this next issue I will be presenting streaming video files for those that have been shooting video with
their DSLR's, this as well as our usual collection of great photographic images.
The new model for
TruceMag.Com
is to act as a sourcebook of sorts.
so while being a venue for great photography it will also be presented as a
sourcebook and photographers resource site.
TruceMag.Com
is a place to display images that are left of center and pushes the creative envelope.
Unlike some print and online magazines
TruceMag.Com
is not images by friends or friends of friends, just really good images.
Closing date will be when there are enough quality images to create a great new issue.
Submit button is on the last page of the current issue
